Interview
Later on submitting resume to their website, I had an intro telephone call with an awesome recruiter who and so connected me with the hiring director. That call went corking, so I was asked to complete a projection (build a campaign for an advertiser). After working on the entrada for a few hours and submitting the project, I was told that the hiring manager decided to hire a former colleague for the role. No mention of or feedback on my project, it seemed like it was never even looked at past anyone at Reddit. Fast forward several months, same recruiter reaches out about another AM role for a different team. The hiring manager for that team asked me for a single example of a relevant client I'd worked with previously and decided based on that ane example that I didn't accept enough feel with enterprise clients (spoiler: I actually accept lots of experience working with lots of them). There probably wouldn't have been a practiced squad fit here, since in that location was clearly a disconnect in communication (big assumptions fabricated on questions not asked). But I wish that, if Reddit asks a candidate to complete a project, that they'd also commit to looking at the project in one case information technology'south washed. It'south incredibly discourteous to not follow through on that.

I applied through a recruiter. The procedure took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Reddit in Sep 2021
Interview
1) Introductory meeting : Describing where I am , how did I build the team, challenges solved. Very confusing response - saying that they liked me simply not for this team but for other team. Clarified with recruiter before moving forward that how does the other squad know my feedback, and they said everything is transferred, and the other squad is excited to talk to me in an onsite. Onsite: 1) System design : How do you build a chat system, Interviewer acknowledged the answers and canonical at the end of information technology. 2) Hiring Manager : Managerial standard questions. So everything went silent and recruiter tells me that they are waiting for a concluding feedback before moving to side by side steps - and in an hour sends a blank rejection email. No feedback, cypher. Waste product of time - they are just novices trying to deed like a FAANG.

Talked to the designer for 30 minutes. He was a few minutes belatedly, and he didn't take his camera on (the noises in the groundwork made information technology clear he was likely multitasking) He had no thought who I was (didn't read my resume or know anything near my experiences). He only asked very generic questions. Very unprofessional experience.

I was contacted by a recruiter around a week later applying online. The recruiter asked me to schedule time on his calendar with a greenhouse link. I found time and scheduled it and also responded to the e-mail indicating I had provided a fourth dimension. Mean solar day of our call he was a no show and didn't respond to my email asking if nosotros were still on for our telephone call until 24 hours later. He asked that I merely email him my availability so I told him the next 2 days would work. He didn't respond again so several days later I emailed him again and he responded much later that I should ship availability again. He never responded on my last email or e'er apologized for his unprofessionalism. Worst experience I've had with a recruiter and I just allow it go there, I hope it's non indicative of the quality of the rest of Reddit.

Interview
First stride is the call with the recruiter where yous volition have to walk the recruiter through your experience. 2d step was the coding circular. Third stride is the total day virtual onsite interview which tin exist dissever over 2 days. information technology includes i round with Hiring manager which is mostly talking about our by experience and answering the behaviors questions. Another round included coding the service side or business organisation logic of the iOS app. Next round was also doing the coding in Xcode only was more than of UI focused. Then one of the round was for system pattern. Last round was focused completely on behavioral questions. Overall the interview rounds where completely relatable to iOS Development and was a skilful experience. Only point which is negative about the process is interviewers have high expectation and expects not just the working solution but quality code in short fourth dimension bridge.
